Serenity hadn't found anything, and the message sent from Tal was lost. She returned to her ship, banging her hand on the dash as she slammed herself into her seat. She sighed, closing her eyes and reaching out, trying to feel out to anyone who might be nearby.
It wasn't until her felt her soul breaking that she opened her eyes, her hands tight on her chest. She didn't know what was going on, but she had to get back to Degobah and fast. She had to find out what happened to Tal. She had a feeling that Yoda had been right.
And she had been stupid.
Darth Tirus rose and felt a compassion and love that he had only felt through the Force with Serenity. Tirus did his best to keep his composure but you could not hide your feelings from a Force user. Vader raised his hand and began to choke Tirus.
Tirus clawed at his throat, trying desperately to breath normally again, but was unsuccessful. Instead, he built up his anger and hurled the Force at Vader. It didn't knock him down, but it did pull his grip off Tirus. Tirus fell to the ground and gasped for air.
"You know why I did that! You must let your love for her go. It means nothing anymore. It is a distraction from what your objective is!" Vader said in anger and took a step forward. He reached behind his cloak and pulled out a lightsaber. It snapped to life and a brilliantly red blade cast over Tirus.
Tirus looked up slowly at Vader with anger in his eyes, "So you will turn me, then kill me?"
Vader paused for a moment and the lightsaber extinguished. He dropped it infront of Tirus, "No. This is your lightsaber. Take it, use it to destroy what is left of the Jedi. Use it to exterminate them all down to the last child!" Vader walked past Tirus and opened the door to the labs.
There was a small herd of people listening in on what was going on. They were curious of Vader's new creation and were in awe of the shear terror of Tirus' features. Tirus stood and picked up the lightsaber. He walked over with his head lowered and breathing heavily.
"As you wish my master." He began to pass Vader but was stopped.
"But before you go. There is one thing you must do before you can call yourself a Sith." Vader's voice was unwavering, passionateness, and absolutely cold. "Kill them." He said crossing his arms.
The herd of people looked up at Vader in horror and surprise. Then at Tirus who grinned. The doors in the room sealed and they scattered in terror.
When Tirus was done, the screams of terror and plees for mercy still rang in his head. But he did what his master had commanded. He felt the Dark Side coursing through him....and he liked it....
The screams echoed in Serenity's head. She grabbed her head, the dying overwhelming her. "Tal... No!" She cried, having no idea if he might have heard her. All she could think was, 'No, not him too.'
Flashes of Anakin, of his betrayal, and of his one, merciful act that he had giving her. Damn Vader. First her best friend, then her son, and now her husband, too? When would he have enough?
Her ship jumped out of hyperdrive, and she landed her ship on Degobah. Her landing gear was barely down before she was off her ship, searching for Yoda.
Yoda was walking through the swamp with some of the Jedi talking to them about the Force when he stopped for a moment and started breathing heavily. He clutched his chest and held his forehead as he closed his eyes. Yoda searched the Force for the reason of this pain and knew it was Tal. He shook his head in disappointment and sadness and his heart fell when he saw Serenity and her face.
Serenity raced to Yoda, collapsing to her knees in front of him. "Please, say it's not true. He didn't go and do what you saw. Please tell me he's dead. I can handle that." She said, wrapping her arms around herself. "I can't handle him doing that."
Yoda sighed and closed his eyes, "Dead to us he is. Twisted by evil and deception he has been. No longer your husband he is..."
She nodded, standing up. "I can't stay here. He's coming, and I won't allow him to take my other son as well. I won't leave my child an orphan." She saw Tal, walking towards them and she moved forward, collecting the child in her arms.
"Tal, I need you to take the ship to the north side of the planet. Wait until I tell you to take off. You'll know what to do from there." She hugged him close, blocking off her feelings. She had to focus. Her husband was out to kill her, and if she planned on getting out of their alive, she had to let go of any feelings and get out of their alive. She hugged him once more, kissing his forehead, "May the force be with you, my son."
He nodded, "May the force be with you, Mother."
He ran to the ship, doing just as her mother instructed.
Serenity watched the ship land, feeling the hate overwhelm her.
It made what she had to do a little easier.
Yoda looked up at her, "Read for this you are not. Go wit hour son, you must. Deal with Tal, I will."
